S.K.Y Adelakun
Mr Adelakun is the Executive Chairman of NISH Housing Initiative, Finance Africa Ltd and Skytech Institute Ltd. He is also the Convener of the Nigeria Housing Finance Conference.
He is a Chartered Manager, a Chartered Accountant, Fellow of Chartered Management Institute, United Kingdom, and Fellow of Chartered National Accountants of Nigeria.
He recently retired from the Federal Civil Service of Nigeria as Permanent Secretary (Common Services Office), Chairman, Federal Government Staff Housing Loans Board, and Chairman, Federal Integrated Staff Housing (FISH) Programme all In the Office of Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Nigeria. He was also Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Aviation and Federal Civil Service Commission.
During his 34 years career in the Federal Civil Service, he served in different capacities in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Office of the Surveyor General of the Federation, Office of the Accountant General of the Federation. His overseas postings include Nigeria Diplomatic Missions in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago; Pretoria and Johannesburg, South Africa; Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Singapore, Singapore.
Prof. Banji Oyelaran-Oyeyinka
Prof. Oyelaran-Oyeyinka is renowned innovation and development scholar. Until recently, he has been the acting Director, Regional Office for Africa (ROAF), United Nations -Habitat in Nairobi. He had earlier served as Director Monitoring & Research Division in which capacity he provided intellectual leadership for the UN-HABITAT flagship reports: “State of the World Cities Report” and the “Global Report on Human Settlements.” He is a Professorial Fellow in Innovation and Development, United Nations University- MERIT, Maastricht, The Netherlands and visiting Professor, Innovation and Development, The Open University, Milton Keynes, United Kingdom.
Previously he was Senior Economic Adviser, UN Centre on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), Geneva where he coordinated a ten-year review of performance of Least Developed Countries. He is a board member of several reputable organizations including STEPS-IDS, Sussex, UK. He is a fellow of the Nigerian Academy of Engineering.
His research interests are in Science Technology, and Innovation (STI) Policy and Systems in Late Development; Innovation Systems in Industry Small and Medium Enterprises; industrial clusters in Developing Countries and latecomer Industrialization and Economic Development. He has authored widely and some of his publications include a book with Rajah Rasiah titled: Uneven Paths of Development: innovation and Learning in Asia and Africa (Edward Elgar, 2009) and Latecomer development: Knowledge and Innovation for Economic Growth (Routeledge, UK, 2009). His earlier book include “Learning to Compete in African Industry”, Ashgate (2006). He is also the author of “Rich Country Poor People: The Story of Nigeria’s Poverty in the midst of Plenty” (2014) and co-author of “Urban Innovation in China’s Shanty Towns” (2014) among a dozen other books.
Prince Gbolahan Wasiu Lawal
Gbolahan Lawal is a seasoned administrator; result oriented and passionate about all that he does, with over 20 years post graduate experience. A security and development specialist, with bias for political economy of development, especially in low and middle income economies, with many years of experience in the public sector. He has experiential knowledge of real-time business dynamics, global economic challenges and opportunities.
Gbolahan obtained a Master of Science [M.sc. degree] in Violence, Conflict and Development, Department of Development Studies, from the School of Oriental and African Studies [SOAS], University of London; this is sequel to his Bachelor of Science [B.sc Hons] degree in Botany, from the University of Port-Harcourt. He is also a product of the Havard Kennedy School of Government and the World Bank Institute, Washington D.C. Mr Lawal, Associate member, Food Studies Centre, SOAS, and Board Member, Lagos State Security Trust Fund, also holds certificates in strategies for managing PPP from ECAPS in Cambridge and Advanced Management Programme [AMP] from Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, USA.
He is a recipient of numerous awards for his contributions to the development of the agricultural sector of Lagos State. As the Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives under the then Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola’s administration between July 2011 and May 2015, he raised the State’s food security profile through the initiation of various programmes and projects such as the Integrated Rice Mill, Imota; High Quality Cassava Factory, Poka-Araga, Epe, and the Songhai Regional Centre, Badagry. He also coordinated the activities of the Agriculture-based Youth Empowerment Scheme [Agric-YES] which has today become a youth empowerment model for many states of the Federation when he served as a Senior Special Assistant on Special projects to the Governor Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN).
He started his career as a Scientific Officer with the Raw Materials Research and Development Council [Federal Ministry of Science and Technology] in 1994; and later got commissioned as Cadet Assistant Superintendent in The Nigerian Police Force. While in service he held several duty posts amongst which was as Aide-de-camp [ADC] to the one time Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He retired voluntarily from the force in 2008 as Superintendent of Police.
Given his ability to manage challenging projects, lead people, and build teams, he was appointed Honourable Commissioner for Housing by Governor Akinwunmi Ambode in October 2015. As the Commissioner for Housing, he has set the blaze with the introduction of the Rent –to own, an home ownership program set to move a larger number of residents of Lagos State to the home ownership ladder and the master-craftsman program, a train- the -trainer initiative aimed at improving the skills of artisans and workmen in the built industry.
He has interest in sports, music and the arts. He is happily married with children
Adeniyi A. Akinlusi
Adeniyi Akinlusi holds a B.Sc (Accounting) from University of Ilorin and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from University of Lagos.
He is a Fellow (FCA) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Fellow (FCTI) of the Chartered Institute of Taxation, Fellow (FICA) of the Institute of Credit Administration and Fellow (FIAPM) of the Association of Investment Advisers and Portfolio Managers. He is also an Alumnus of Harvard Business School (HBS) Boston, U.S.A., the International Institute for Management Development (IMD), Lausanne, Switzerland, Lagos Business School, (LBS), Lagos, Nigeria and a Honourary Senior Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (HCIB).
He has also attended various Management, Strategic and Leadership courses in Nigeria and abroad including London Management Centre (London); I.E.S.E. Business School, University of Navarra (Barcelona, Spain) and the Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia, USA).
Adeniyi Akinlusi held various strategic and leadership positions in Intercontinental Bank Plc and in March 2006, he was seconded to Intercontinental Homes Savings & Loans Plc(Now TrustBond Mortgage Bank PLC) as the Managing Director/Chief Executive.
After over 20 years of extensive and diversified banking experience in niche banking including, Corporate, Retail, Branch, Regional, Oil and Gas, Public Sector and Mortgage banking, he retired from Intercontinental Bank as a General Manager, and moved fully to Intercontinental Homes(Now TrustBond Mortgage Bank PLC) in 2011 where he has been the Chief Executive since 2006.
